I found this place by chance when looking for a decent priced restaurant on a social visit to Birmingham.
The menu looked good, especially as they had a set 2/3 course or choose from main menu.
For someone who likes good food and good wine at decent prices, I was surprised to find this level of quality in the Arcadian amongst other chain restaurants.
I had chicken breast with a lemon and cream dressing, with vegetables. Words cannot express how delicious this was, complimented by the lovely wine, and the attentive staff.
A steal at under £40 for two people, starters and mains! Food came really quickly too. -

Mid-range Italian, a stone's throw from the Hippodrome.
Decent food, not exceptional. Busy with theatre-goers, pleasant ambience. Slightly old-fashioned decor.
Enjoyed my chicken and Italian sausage, though it needed a sprinkling of salt. My dad seemed to like his veal escalopes.
Not a bad option for a quick pre-show meal. There are much cheaper options (i.e. Chinese cafes) close by, though. -

A decent Italian restaurant that I would happily visit again. The food is authentic and the portions are large, I couldn't finish my main which is a compliment.

8th April Les Mis pre theatre visit good starters very busy but service was great smoked salmon starter and then chicken and prawns for main with nice veggies and then a wonderful tiramasu
